We Visit Monkey Mountain,

or as it is locally known, Khao Sam Mook, it is just after Ban Sang on the Sumkavit highway going to Bangkok, as the English name implies, it is on a mountain and there are monkeys that live there,
this one found something interesting about Jeff's car,
view from the top of the hill looking across the bay,
there are so many monkeys you have to be careful, one takes food from your hand whilst another one snatches the bag of food from you,
they seem quite tame, and for the most part are quite gentle, but Diana was still quite wary of them,
Jeff and Da had a big bag of food and were followed everywhere,
the view looking out to sea,
for some reason Jeff's car received a lot of attention, a small tip if you go there put the radio ariel down!
as with most monkeys mutual grooming is the order of the day,
Jeff feeding one of the monkeys on his car,
anything new is examined, a lady brought her bike along, but we knew she had been here before as she roped it to the railings to stop it falling over when the monkeys climbed all over it, after we ran out of food, we brought our own but vendors there sell bananas, corn and peanuts, we made our way to a nearby temple,
it was I think a Taoist temple, but unfortunately was closed,
at the front was this huge pole, the decorations were bright even in the failing sunlight,
the temple complex was huge, a great afternoon out, certainly a different way to spend the day, even in a zoo I have never seen so many monkeys or been so close to them, great fun!
