Another Busy Day And Night For Us,

first thing in the morning off to the market,
this is the Tuesday/Friday market in Soi Bukaow,
although there are lots of clothes there I normally just look around the livestock/plant sections, these are love birds, the aviary I had at my house in the jungle was 6 meters long 2 meters high and wide, I started with 5 pairs of love birds and 5 pairs of budgerigars, after a couple of years although I had given loads away (and more than a few escaped, much to the delight of the local hawk!) there was still over 150 birds there, they went through a full sack, about 25 kilos, of sweet corn every 10 days or so,
next door another fish shop,
this one of the many varieties of Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) the bulbs range from 10 - 35 baht each,
and of course a few snaps of orchids, in lots of shapes and colors,
Jay's garden is huge, and so many seeds to choose from!
and for those who do not have green fingers how about these, all guaranteed to look nice all year round, guessed it? yep, they are plastic! then along to the front of the market on Pattaya Tai, for the first of this years giant lychee's,
they are huge but as they are the first of this years crop a little expensive at 100 baht a kilo,
one of the many good things about Thailand there is aways an abundance of fresh fruit all year round,
so much to chose from,
and some of it prepeeled,
then back to 388 to give the fish a 25% water change, clean the filter and front glass,
then in the evening all dressed up and ready to go,
this was the dress we bought last week,
going into town we went past Coyotes again, looking at articles on the web it is being refurbished and should be open soon,
and of course we also walked past lots of clothes shops, (quickly!)
and had our evening meal here in the Bier Kutsche,
it is just one shop house away from Champions on Walking Street,
nice and clean inside,
steak with mushrooms for Diana,
steak with fried onions for me, total with a soda and water was 488 baht, there was so much of it I could not finish all it,
then out to a rather empty Walking Street,
but still the bright lights,
after seeing Tom in Sisterz with Big Jim it was over to Champions then home for tea and medals, but first stop the food carts!
Second Road was almost deserted,
both ways,
as was Soi Diamond, now for the good or bad news, the girls are by now in Lao as they have to do a visa run, but this time instead of going through a travel agent they have got one of the de-lux coaches, about 1,000 baht return and the cost of a hotel room over night, about 600 baht but split 3 ways, free visa into Lao, and a free visa, double entry for Thailand, so a huge saving over the 7,800 Diana paid last time through a travel agent, back to the good and bad news Diana has taken the camera, so no pictures of my travels whilst the girls are away, good news, bad news, you decide!
