Whilst Watching The Simpsons,

every so often a cat lady makes an appearance, barley able to make herself understood she throws cats at any one that walks near to her house or gets to close to her if she is outside, now I am not saying that Miriam Sakewitz is in the same league but being called the Washington County's "Bunny Lady" I think some help is needed, unless of course you think that keeping 250 rabbits in her home, including about 100 dead ones in freezers and refrigerators is perfectly normal, the live ones were taken to a shelter, but police said she broke into the facility where the survivors were being cared for in January 2007 and stole most of them back, She was placed on five years probation, banned from owning or controlling animals and was told not to go within 100 yards of a rabbit, the lure of rabbits proved to strong, Tigard Police spokesman Jim Wolf said Washington County animal control officers removed eight adult rabbits, five young ones and a dead one from her hotel room Tuesday, then county probation officer Susan Ranger testified in August of 2007 that Sakewitz had a rabbit in her home in June, had canceled counseling sessions and refused to open the door for unannounced visits, Ranger said she found no rabbits when she finally got inside but did find a half-empty 10-pound bag of carrots, Sakewitz was sentenced to three days in jail, now that is the bit I do not understand, was the 3 days in jail for the half-empty 10-pound bag of carrots or canceled counseling sessions? the rabbits, the rabbits, think of the rabbits!
