Jobs For The Boys!

to justify their spending you take one bus stop, and then put up sixty lampposts and signs around it, so that keeps the works departments busy spending taxpayers money, then the clever guys come in and tell you how vitally important their jobs are, by telling us we could not live without the signs, Roy Pegram, Cambridgeshire County Council's cabinet member for growth, infrastructure and strategic planning, insisted all the signs were necessary, hold on a second Roy, 1 bus stop = 60 signs and they are all needed in the rural Cambridgeshire town of Swavesey? I do not think so, the locals have accused their county council of ‘desecrating the countryside’ with a forest of aluminium poles, signs and traffic lights, but think of Roy's job! how can the locals be so cruel? we I guess Swavesey resident April Martin, 30, will not be voting for him in the next council elections, she criticised the poles as ‘just too much’, saying they ruined the picture postcard village, which features historic thatched cottages, English Heritage, which runs the Save Our Streets campaign, said the organisations should be looking to minimise street clutter, well they certainly dropped the ball in Swavesey!
