What Is Better Than A Wheelie Bin?

a mini wheelie bin! to help cut down waste the mini wheelie bin is being introduced in Bristol, where the Liberal Democrat council is hoping to cut the amount of rubbish it sends to landfill and 'encourage' households to put out less waste that cannot be recycled, under the plans, standard 240-litre bins for non-recyclable rubbish will be replaced by 140-litre versions for couples or those living alone, while households containing more than three people will receive 180-litre bins, it means that each member of a family of five would get just 36 litres of rubbish space a fortnight, compared with 140 litres for someone living on their own,
well they may be right, but I still can not see how having a smaller bin will reduce rubbish, surely the way to go forward is to reduce the amount of packaging some products use?
Doretta Cocks, of the Campaign for Weekly Waste Collection, said: 'This is another example of the Government's barmy views about waste.
