the huge ticket sales and positive reviews vindicate Cameron, who spent an estimated $400million and a decade making the film, in its first weekend in Britain, Avatar grossed $13.6million (£8.5m) - a great success but strangely less than the vampire film New Moon, which to be truthful I can not recall hearing about, there was a few trailers when we watch Avatar, perhaps it was one of those, in which case I was totally underwhelmed.
