Trains, Trains And More Trains!

scroll down if model railways is not your thing,
early start to the day, rusting some of the tracks,
the good news is that the ballasting is finished, what a pain that was,
Diana came upstairs to help with the scenery,
the ground was already painted, so add glue and sprinkle ground cover, Diana is now making a start at the back of the layout,
a very serious looking me with a shaker,
I must remember to paint the white cliffs at the back,
a darker ground cover near the tracks,
I have also darken down the sidings as they would not be used so much,
the ground cover is starting to look better,
I have put some small 'bushes' near one of the tunnel entrances, it still some how does not look right, so may be start again,
it is now late afternoon, the tops of the hills yellow in the sunlight,
Diana made fish and chips for our evening meal then it was out to the lights and delights of Pattaya,
Lucifer's neon lights, always nice to look at,
we made our way to Carousel, walk to Soi Diamond and it is on the right,
it is just past Paris ago-go,
on our way to Sweethearts we stopped for a couple at Baccarat's, the seat are so comfortable in there, then on to Sweethearts, in case you are wondering what the ladies and doorman behind us are looking at, a tourist left a bar without paying his bin, so a policeman was called, as far as I know it all worked out OK in the end, we were joined there by Damion, then off to Champions, Juu was there as was Big Jim, Damion then caught us up just as an old friend Colin arrived, so it was drinks all round, then homeward bound,
Diana wanted some Thai food to nibble on when we got back,
what to chose?
I must admit I am not sure what she did chose, but the cook put so much chili powder in it she had to spoon some back,
then motorbike taxi and home, we settled down to watch the last of the first of a three volume set of DVD's A Year At Kew, fascinating stuff, then one episode of Midsomer Murders and off to bed.

Have to disagree with:-

The track looks very impressive...just look inside the tunnel (still white)...Just my opinion....that why doesn't look quite right.

It brings out the big child in me... can I come over any play with your trains...:)

Dear Daryle, many thanks for your kind comments, today I will put a few more bushes around the tunnel, hopefully it will make it look a bit better, this is the first of the 4 tunnels so this is the trial by error as I have never made a railway layout before, eventually the back of the layout will be boarded up so the tunnel will be dark, also a 'former' tunnel will be placed over the inside of the tunnel entrance, when it is finished call over and play 'Casey Jones' if you remember that series, better still bring over the girls from 'Petticoat Junction' thinking about it maybe not, they will be in their 80's now! best regards, Stan ad Diana.
