Down To Friendship for some fresh beetroot,
still trying to keep on my diet! but before continuing as I mentioned yesterday we first went to the bank which was closed and will be so till Monday at the earliest, luckily we had a bit of money to go shopping, it appears that Pattaya will be closed till Sunday evening at the earliest, a curfew is in place till then, so fun town becomes ghost town from 8.00 in the evening, although some of the big department store close at 6.00, it is a national emergency and the authorities have to do what they think is best for the safety of all, so back to Friendship, to the salad bar for some beetroot and fresh salad,then with a laden bike along to the market in Pattaya Tai for some fresh prawns for to nights salad,
Diana with prawns, mangoes and a few other things for the next few days,
Diana preparing the prawns for cooking, over the course of the day Phil called in to say bye, Mark and Anchisa called in for a tea and chat, later in the afternoon Diana started cleaning the house so I put my feet up to watch some of
I, Claudius, first shown in 1976, but still just as enjoyable today, I read some where that the incredible performance by Derek Jacobi as the stammering fool actually spilt over into his private life, it took several months after filming had finished for him to stop stammering, a trait he did not posses before filming started, I watched the first three episodes, I am looking forward to seeing the rest, Diana did sit down to watch some of them which with English subtitles she was able to follow,
then 'Cheers!' from me for our evening meal, prawn salad with beetroot and a small bowl of mayonnaise,
Diana then said she would like to watch some Bottom, we had already seen series one so it was on to series two, great fun if this is your slapstick style of humour, which luckily we both have, then on to the main event from The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Illustrious Client, Violet Merville is determined to marry the man she loves, who Holmes knows has already murdered one wife, what to do? followed by The Creeping Man, Holmes thinks a woman's claim to have seen a man at her upstairs bedroom window is related to the theft of several apes, this story really had a strange twist to it, then off to bed.

One tip for the diet - stay away from mayo.
