First Stop,

the photo shop, to get the first of Diana's presents for Christmas wrapped, they do a great gift wrapping service, I have tried wrapping presents but they look so poorly done to the way they wrap them here,
easy to find just opposite what was once Decorom and Friendship super market, then to Soi Bukaow market, new for this week fake water lily's,
as you walk in there are many tables for dinners,
lots of different spices to chose from,
and prepared food to take away,
this is one of the other aquarium shops in the market,
then who should I meet walking around? Diana, trying to see what I was going to buy for her,
so then back to the shop to drop off a few more things to be wrapped, looking across the road to the now empty Decorum store, it has not closed, just moved, but I am not sure what will take its place,
walking past the bike shop I noticed a few mini bikes in the road,
some with fancy paintwork, complete with front and rear foot pegs on the axles,
a 'stealth' model in black,
and a go faster version in black and gold, I can not say I like them myself, but I do appreciate the amount of work that has done into customising them,
then a few more presents dropped into the wrapping shop, this is their marine aquarium, still looking nice,
just a shame about the flash from the camera showing up on the glass,
Diana had to wait outside, she made every excuse to follow me into the shop, wanting to see what her presents are!
then to Swensons at Tesco's,
I am not sure what this ice cream was called, but a vanilla ice shake for me, we went there to buy our Christmas cards,
then we went for a short walk to the fish shop next to Tesco's,
there is a small kitten playing in the plastic bag on the floor,
which then decided to mug Diana,
I just can not stop looking at fish,
there is also a small selling area to the side of the store,
not a huge selection of plants,
but they did have a nice orchid or two,
also a few unusual plants like this one,
the flowers are quite strange,
next moment it was time for the Friday night market,
opposite the bar this week was a band, we were told they were raising money for the flood victims in the North of Thailand,
they were selling their CD's for 100 baht,
then a walk to the fish/pet section, all of the stalls selling plants have now moved out,
this is a new stall specialising in Siamese Fighting Fish, Betta splendens, normally these are quite cheap over here, 20 to about 150 baht, but this stall had some priced at 1,200 baht, at today's rate £25.00, a huge amount of money for one of these, even in the UK the most expensive one I have seen for sale was only £6.00,
later whilst Diana was shopping Brian and Sa called by the bar,
we were then joined by Sai Jai, who is still making her knitted products and sells them in the market, 84 years young and still going strong!
Diana went over to take a few pictures of the band,
they were extremely loud, which means locally they were extremely good,
on the way back to the bike park I noticed this little number, again some one has spent a huge amount of time, money and effort on this machine,
then back to 388 for a couple of drinks, by then it was quiet late so when Brian and Sa left it was off to bed,
but as an aside regarding the 3D version of the latest Harry Potter movie, Mike has very kindly pointed out that it has not been made! Warner Bros said it did not want to keep fans waiting for the film, the studio said it could not complete the 3D conversion of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 in time for its 19 November UK and US release date, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will still be released in both 2D and 3D on 15 July 2011, it added, this second instalment will now be the first film in the Harry Potter series to be 3D, in a statement on Friday, the studio said: "despite everyone's best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality,'

I wonder if Warner Brothers knows that according to the ticket office at Central Festival the 3D version is avalable in Bangkok? it must be a gunuine copy!
