First Thing,

we had a few guests call in,
Maureen and Ta-Taa, and of course Nick, over a few beers we put the world to rights, next we started a marathon game of Monopoly, then time for our evening meal, we decided to head out to the Punch & Judy as it had just opened, thinking to look at the menu, have a drink then head to the soup stall, it is on Soi 17, just past the Eden but on the other side of the road, if you like a typical UK pub then this is the place for you, even Diana said it was just like being back in the UK,
we were not going to stop for food, but the menu changed our minds!
Diana had a prawn cocktail,
it was huge,
'Cheers!' from me with roasted duck wraps,
also dinning there was Ken a friend from way back who stopped to have a chat,
then to the main courses, for Diana double gammon steaks,
with proper UK chips,
for me a lamb knuckle that was delicious,
I was so hungry!
we were joined after the meal by Jamie, the owner who comes from the UK with a catering tradition behind him and his family, a first rate pub, host and food, as a famous film star said, 'I (we) will be back!' as an aside happy hour is from 4 - 7 in the afternoon/early evening, I forget the prices but it was I think 180ish for the starters and Gammon, 360 for the lamb, (and worth every baht!), a very large glass of wine 120,
then as the Punch and Judy was next door to a Family Mart a bit of shopping and we were set for the evening,
feet up Monopoly out and it was time for another Sci-Fi from the black and white box, this time Tarantula, a scientist tries to develop a wonder drug that will make things grow to help ease the world food shortage, but as you can guess from the title a spider is injected by mistake, great for the time, 1955, special effects, but with out nuclear weapons it was the air force and napalm that squished the spider, then time for bed.
