We Were Having A Quiet Day,

but early morning Mr. Tony called in to say Hi and wish us a Merry Christmas, followed by Mark, shortly after Jay and Precil called by, it was late afternoon/early evening so a glass of pre dinner wine seemed like a good choice, Jay and myself went upstairs,
whilst Precil and Diana had a feast downstairs, then as the evening wore on it was time for them to go, both Precil and Diana love scary horror movies so Precil is borrowing Jack Frost to view over Christmas,
for us a return to Around The World In 80 Gardens, this time looking in on Australia and New Zealand, what was fascinating was Monty's trip to Rupert Murdoch's 99-year-old mother and her garden in Melbourne, as he said 'there are not many gardeners in the world that have looked after the same garden for 80 years', then on to India, the great Mughal tomb gardens, the sumptuous water palace gardens at Deeg, the Edwin Lutyens-designed garden city of New Delhi, the spice and tea gardens of Kerala all a real treat,
to round off the evening one of our few remaining Poirot's, Cards on the Table, Hercule Poirot finds himself investigating the murder of his dinner host, Mr. Shaitana, who was stabbed in the heart while his guests played bridge, as you might expect all including the investigating police officer have a reason to kill Shaitana but who did? then off to bed.
