We Had A Lazy Day,

Mark called round for an hour or two,
and we chatted about a few stamps I had bought recently, above two stamps to commemorate the British Empire Exhibition of 1924/5, I already had the 1924 stamps, but these as you can see are dated 1925, it took a long time to buy them as so many had inflated prices on them, but these two came in at £7.99 the pair,
but these are totally different, they are not stamps at all, known in stamp collecting circles as Cinderella's or labels, they have no monetary value but are issued at various exhibitions or fairs, in this case the 1932 19th. philatelic congress at Brighton, I am slowly collecting one or two from each year, but prices are really on the up and up for these pseudo stamps, £15.06 bought this lot above, £1.67 each, last year more like .50p each,
we spent the day lounging about watching a DVD or two then in the evening it was out to a very busy Walking Street, Juu said he would be at work tonight so it was motorcycle taxis into town, then a walk to Champions,
we had a splendid time there, very kindly Juu gave us a lift home, so a quick pose from Diana in I think a new dress,
one of the many great things about Diana is she is always so happy,
I had a night cap of vodka and soda, Diana has taken to wearing a house cap, do not ask me why, as Mark said during the day Hilda Ogden or Nora Batty spring to mind!
during the day we watched Van Helsing, an all action special effects treat, the Vatican send the monster hunter and his ally, Carl to Transylvania, they have been sent to this land to stop the powerful Count Dracula, but a werewolf is involved, who is it?
also we put on the first episodes of Taken, I thought it was great entertainment, Diana fell asleep! more believable than close encounters is you think we are not alone, the story spans five decades and four generations, centering on three families: the Keys, Crawfords, and Clarkes, World War II veteran Russell Keys is plagued by nightmares of his abduction by aliens during the war; the Roswell incident transforms Owen Crawford from ambitious Air Force captain to evil shadow government conspirator; the unhappily married Sally Clarke is impregnated by an alien visitor, and that is as far as we have seen, as we watch the second episode when we returned home, then for us off to bed.
