We Were Both Up,

first thing in the morning,
Diana putting on the slow cooker for a beef stew with Atora dumplings for the evening,
and for me waiting for Arry to come and fix the electrical problem with the lights, this took most of the day with numerous trips to the local electrical supply shop, one new dimmer switch one box of 10 new bulbs and 1,000 baht later and then there was light, hopefully for longer than last time! then we had a visitor, or two as it happened, Riza called in fresh from spending Christmas in the Philippines along with Mabel, the living room erupted into chatter and laughter, the good news was that Mark called by so we went upstairs and chatted about stamps and how much they have been rising in price over the past few months, it is a recurrent conversation,
prices are defiantly rising and I still do not have an unmounted mint 2d blue! all of mine have been used like the one above from my collection,
by now it was time to head off to the Friday night market, Diana wearing a new pair of earrings,
the shrine in the car park has now been totally completed,
still a bit early at 5.30,
the latest in dolls were for sale,
I also noticed these salt and pepper pots and money banks,
opposite the bar a secondhand clothes stall or two,
a lot more stalls in the pet/fish area failing to show,
they may look like normal hats but they are dog sized, think mini Chihuahua, quite cute if you like small dogs I guess,
then a favorite fruit of mine was on display, 160 baht a kilo, we should have waited a week or so as they were not very sweet - but next week they should be fine and sweet, I call them Japanese plums but I am not sure what the Thai name is,
back to the bar where I was joined by Bill,
Diana was saying Hi to Sai Jai and giving her a belated Christmas present,
there are a number of films I like watching over again, the Harry Potter series, being one
and I, Robot being another,
then after those some more from Hill Street Blues, it hardly seems to have dated, if you look past the fact there are hardly any computers and no mobile phones, one of the several episodes we watched was when Micky Belker died, we laughed so much! (you have to see it to appreciate it!), then off to bed.
