First Thing,

we were off to the fishing tackle shop,

it is in Thepprisitt Road just before the petrol stations on the same side if you are going towards Sumkivitt,

also knowing we had a lot of painting to do we bought a few more brushes form the hardware shop next door,

Mr. Tony called round a little later,

and we were off, we parked in Soi Lengkee, then made our way into Soi Diana,

this week we were going to the Robin's Nest, recently refurbished and under new ownership,

as usual a selection of roast meats as well as sausages and roast chicken pieces,

a full selection of vegetables is also offered including Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and shepard's pie,

Lee one of the new co-owners called over to say hello, Mr. Tony started with a bowl of soup which is included in the 259 carvery as well as a selection of ice cream,

we then went on to our main courses, the restaurant has been completely revamped, and I have to say looks and feels a lot better for it, so we all hope that things go well for Lee and his partners,

 then on to the desserts,

no Diana did not really have two, but she would have done if Mr. Tony did not take his back!

there were of course other desserts available but we stuck with the deal for the carvery, we rounded the meal off with a coffee,

and very nice it was too,

Mr. Tony really enjoyed his! we arrived home for another cup of coffee when Phil arrived so more coffees all round, after saying our goodbyes we were off to see the boys

they are staying at the Sabai Resort, it is huge as it is located in 16 acres of green landscaped gardens in contemporary Thai Design and architecture, it is located on Second Road near the Alcazar show on the same side of the road,

it was then Diana's lucky day, Uday had bought Diana some clothes from India,

Diana wanted to try them all on at once,

but changed into this one for the evening, also we both want to say a big thank you to Sunda who is not here and everyone for bringing over some chocolate for Diana and other goodies for me,

next stop the market, I parked in the back of it as we had brought the truck, ominous rain clouds in the sky,

the stall holders were already pitting up awnings in case it rained,

the beauty stall Za Sha still doing well,

we had split up to look around the market, but had arranged to meet at the bar,

I walked past the small light features, it was a bit dark so they were lit up,

the sign has gone, I guess blown away,

we all meet up and the shopping fest began,

 more clouds were rolling in,

unlike Friday there were no stalls opposite the bar,

shopping over it was time for a beer,

Uday and Diana strike the pose, then off for our evening meal, I dropped off the truck and took a motorbike taxi to meet up with everyone as they all went in a baht bus,

after a wet ride to Sabai Resort I walked up to the restaurant past Big C,

and the Cocktail Car, a converted VW camper,

on the other side of the road Sabai Dee, I have been told it is a good place to get a massage,

also on the other side of the road a new hotel I had not seen before, buildings are springing up so fast around town,

but this was where I was heading,

the Indian Garden Restaurant,

it has a vegetarian buffet with one chicken or fish dish, but also can cook other Indian food to order,

naturally I was taken with the aquariums as I walked in,

one having a long necked terrapin residing in it,

before we started eating we had to take a few shots of the boys,

we were all looking forward to the meal,

we started with some chicken tikka,

then it was up to the buffet,

 and what a selection,

we all had a little of pretty much everything,

a quick picture of one of my main course and Diana, we finished up the meal with a sweet coconut milk dessert which was delicious, in fact it all was,

on the way out there was an aquarium with more terrapins in,

the two bigger ones at the bottom supporting the two smaller ones on top,

after that lovely meal we all then said our goodbyes as we flagged down a baht bus to make our way home,

I tried to take a picture of the Dolphin round about, but we were trying to beat the speed of sound as we went round it so the focus is not that good,

then home feet up for the first episode of Colditz, (1972–1974) it was a series on television quite some time ago, but the strange thing is I had never forgotten the theme tune even after all of that time, but back to the series, Colditz was a "special" camp, designed by the Nazis to hold high-risk and politically important prisoners, as an aside many of the series' plots are based on real events, which I guess was one of the reasons that the series became quite popular,

Captain Reinhold Eggers, the former German security officer, wrote in his book, Colditz, The German Story, "You might think at first sight that the place was impregnable, it probably was, but apart from putting bars on the windows it had never really been built for the purpose of keeping people in, breaking out was shown to be much easier than breaking in!" the Germans had their hands full, with a castle full of escape artists, it became an advanced escape school, with techniques becoming more and more sophisticated as the years went by, after the first episode for us we were off to bed.
