I Was Out Early,

another trip to the dentist for more work on my root canal,

I took this picture in the Friendship carpark, there are normally cars in front of it, but today there were no cars parked here,

 past the shrine,

to Dr. Chanis who's surgery is opposite Friendship,

next stop the 3BB office in Thepprasit Road to pay our monthly Internet bill,

the bug men had begun work at home, this is a new crew, the last lot proved less than reliable,

the deal this year is that for 4,000 baht they will call round once a month, spraying the house inside and out the petrol engine provides power,

 to a compressor,

which pumps bug killer into a hose,

which is then used to spray outside and inside the house, hopefully they will be back (the crew not the bugs!),

in the late afternoon glad rags on, Russ called round then off to Prichai seafood restaurant,

for our evening meal, the restaurant is in the town of Ban Amphur, go along the Sumkivitt Highway past the Ambassador Hotel on your right, then turn right at the next set of lights, take the first on the left, dive a few hundred meters and you will see 3 or 4 restaurants on your right, park up and enjoy,

lots of live food to chose from, you can not get fresher than this! tonight we were also joined by Mr. Tony and Booie,

crabs, this particular type make a great crab curry,

there are so many things to chose from,

like these rock lobsters, I know we will be seeing some of these later!

countless baby clams, not real clams, that is what these are know as locally,

there always seems to be huge numbers of mantis shrimps here,

I have tried them in the past, but I have to say I did not like the taste much,

it was still quite early so there were not many customers,

but the sun was low, so the blinds were down,

 the view looking towards Sattahip,

there were a few more yachts than the last time we were here,

 the sun, getting lower,

our first dish arrived, steamed mussels,

followed by seafood fried rice and steamed prawns,

and a beer for Russ,

next course prawn doughnuts and some vegetable,

 'Cheers!', from all of us,

bu now the sun was getting low,

 Russ strikes the pose,

 as does Diana,

 the sun now sinking,

and what a great place to watch it go down,

 almost gone,

as our next course arrived, first a fish soup,

followed by a coconut prawn one,

 both of which were delicious,

we were told that tonight a comet should be seen at about 20 minuets past sunset,

so we waited and waited, but not a sign of it,

the girls decided to order some locally made food,

I am not sure what they are, but a coconut flavoured sweet I am guessing,

 our next course arrived,

 prawn tempura,

 along with some rock lobsters,

 fried in garlic,

Russ decided to try one of the sweets the girls had bought earlier,

they were wrapped up in a banana leaf,

and a bit sticky, but he got there in the end,

and we got to the end of the meal as well, so a quick picture of the shrine,

then to the car and back home, another great meal from Prechai, we will be back!

in the afternoon we watched Gulliver's Travels, the 1996 version, there were so many stars in the film it was almost impossible to count them! a great movie to watch again and again,

when we arrived back home we watched 2012, great special effects, time has passed so quickly, when I looked at the website I did not realise it was made so long ago, in 2009, it only seemed like last year, we then said our goodbyes to Russ and for us we were off to bed.
