At First Glance,

there seems nothing unusual about these pictures,

a Siamese fighting fish, (Betta splendens),

two black moors, a variety of Carassius auratus auratus,

or a terrapin in a bowl,

even this guppy (Poecilia reticulata) in a bag, look nothing out of the ordinary, but they are so different, they are all artworks by Singapore-based artist Keng Lye, he has produced the works by rendered them in acrylic paint, carefully applied within layers of clear resin, we have featured his work on our blog before, as I mentioned then what a talent Lye has.
