We Decided To Have Another Look,

for a small light for the living room,

so out we went, but made a detour to have a look at what was happening to what was known as the Harley bar, it is no more, this is the view looking from what was the front entrance, the pool which was shared with the Eden Hotel is still there in the distance,

but the strange thing is the Eden Hotel is now completely closed up,

this is where the side entrance was on the right of the picture, so we will see over the next few months if something like a phoenix will rise from the ashes,

this is where we were heading, HomeWorks,

 outside lots of statuary,

the lions a bit too imposing for our modest home,

 and we have no pool,

for the flamingos to make their home,

still a fire place would be a nice touch,

to roast chestnuts on in those cold, dark winter evenings,

we looked, we saw, but did not buy anything, so we will have a look in the night market at the weekend, after our evening meal we settled down to watch an old favourite, 1941, this is what I wrote the last time we watched it, 'a seriously underrated movie in my opinion 1941 was such a funny and in many respects true movie, we had watched it before, I just love this film, though it was a bit of a flop in the US, 1941 puts together a number of things that happened in the US in 1941 and as it happens also in 1942/3, Japanese submarines off the coast, anti aircraft guns put in peoples front yards, San Fransisco blacked out for 6 hours due to an air raid with thousands of rounds fired into the sky at nothing, not to mention the Zoot Suits riots, to name just a few true happenings that feature in this big budget Steven Spielberg movie,' we both enjoyed watching it, two more from A Touch of Frost then we were off to bed.
