Great News For Today,

our new computer is being delivered,

but I want to finish today's post before it arrives, so straight on to today's, first thing we picked up Nick and Maureen and made our way to the plant nursery along Soi Siam Country Club Road, parking under the big tree,

 a huge selection here,

 and at reasonable prices,

 like these Plumeria,

or frangipani as they are known,

truck loaded and we were on our way,

to the fishing park, no sooner had we arrived than Nick was into his first fish,

so I had to give a helping hand,

then Nick helped me with the second of the day,

by now it was 4 - 2 to Nick when one of the lakes staff helped me make it 4 - 3 to Nick,

'Cheers!', from Nick as he celebrates his early lead,

we were at the end of the lake in hut number two, which had seen us last time with an almost record number of fish, the view looking to the right of the hut,

 to the left,

 and across the lake,

 now 4 all,

then breakfast arrived, one we had caught earlier,

 this was a surprise,

a lizard had come out to sunbathe,

it was a surprise to see one so close,

this one decided to strike the pose,

normally they disappear at the first sign of anyone near them,

but this one stood his ground and gave us the once over,

meanwhile the smell of our cooked fish,

 had attracted the lakes cats,

 who ended up,

with some of our breakfast, we kept catching fish during the day, the final score ended at 8 - 7 to me, what a great day out,

if you want to fish here, it is the Mamak fishing park, their map above, it is off of Soi Nub Plan Wan, (spelt as it sounds), turn into the Soi from Sumkivitt, you may have to find an alternative route as the tunnel being constructed under the Sumkivitt Road may some days block the entrance to Soi Nub Plan Wan, but once in the Soi over the railway crossing and continue for a couple of miles, the road starts to go downhill, near the bottom of it you will see the road the fishing park is on the right hand side, almost opposite the big pink building on the left, follow that for a while, it twists and turns a bit and the fishing park is on the left next to a soccer ground, there are rods and tackle for hire and bait to buy, plus a fridge full of beer!

we made a move to Nick and Maureen's and sat by the pool,

 admiring Maureen's tomato plants,

which already started to produce edible fruit, ours are still weeks behind,

in the distance this yellow bird took my attention,

and very nice he looked too,

roast pork and crackling for our evening meal, followed by cheese, biscuits, celery and ice cream,

the game was over in a short time, victory for myself, the game was so short we had a second, this time Diana taking the cup, by the time the second game was finished it was late, so thanking Nick and Maureen for looking after us so well we made a move for home, feet up with a night cap we watched a episode of Twister followed by the film Exodus: Gods and Kings, then for us we were off to bed.
