Zach Norris went to a thrift shop in Phoenix, Arizona, with one thing in mind, to buy a a push-pull golf cart, but rummaging around as I guess many of us do when we are in a second-hand shop, something caught his eye, a watch, but not just any old watch, it was a Deep Sea Alarm from Jaeger-LeCoultre, something the watch aficionado knew was worth just a bit more than its $5.99 price tag, though he snapped it up immediately, he was still unaware that he now owned one of the most sought-after LeCoultre watches ever made, it was the first watch with an alarm for divers, a tribute version is still being made today, Norris immediately posted the piece on a “Vintage Watches” Facebook page, and not too long after, he was bombarded with emails from people across the world wanting to buy the item, eventually, he accepted the $35,000 offer from Eric Ku, star of an episode of “Talking Watches” and a well-known Rolex dealer and collector and better yet Eric threw in a Omega Speedmaster Professional for the rare find, an offer Zach gladly accepted, lucky or what?
