We Were Up Early,

to go to immigration,

but first we were greeted by this enormous flower,

it had been a few days in the making and must have started to open overnight,

one of the other cactus looks like it is going to put on a show as well,

08.30 we were in 08.35 we were out with a number card to pick up Diana's new passport with her visa transferred in after 2.00 in the afternoon tomorrow,

on the way I spotted this car, nothing unusual at first,

but looking closer the car looks as if it has been squashed,

the tops of the tyres leaning into the car, both at the rear,

and front of the vehicle, it looked most strange,

 we parked in Walking Street,

and made our way past the Frog bar,

on the other side of the road an electrical repair crew were working,

 going up,

it could be that the problem is in there somewhere,

what ever it was it might explain why last night from the estate our house is in to over the hill to almost all of Jomtien had a power cut,

we continued our walk to the bank,

and then here to the Pattaya Beer Garden for breakfast,

as the tide was in work had stopped by the water pump,

the beach chairs and umbrellas out in force,

 the agony of choosing breakfast,

the delight of an ice coffee,

I knew what I was having before I sat down,

 chicken korma with plain rice,

and for Diana mini burgers,

or sliders as they are called here, Diana ordered a water to go with her meal the bill came to 400 baht for both of us, then back home, now the sad part, the memory card that we have decided at that moment in time to stop working, suffice to say we took a few more pictures of the day, but no results, I have reformatted the card as that was what the computer said I should do, I have taken a few more test pictures and so far all seems well,

in the evening we had a look at the cactus flower but it had totally died away, just a shame the flowers only last for a day, after our evening meal the film Equilibrium, borrowing very heavily from 1984, a little, like the dodging bullets and gunfight scenes from Matrix and add a touch of Blade Runner and you have Equilibrium, apart from a few special effects and a couple of twist in the story it was an average sci-fi movie, after that by sheer happenstance we watched a episode of The Chase we had not seen before, then one from New Tricks series 11 and with that we were off to bed.

Hi Stan & Diana, were you aware that in the UK the final series of New Tricks is currently being aired? It's the last ever series and looks a good 'un to finish on.

Dear Mocha Joe,
sorry to take so long to reply, I just plain forgot, old age taking it's toll! many thanks for the heads up I have had a look on Amazon it is available for pre release so we will order it, I guess we could download it, but the advantage for us buying the DVD is that it has subtitles which makes watching films so much easier both of us, once again many thanks, best regards, Stan and Diana.
