For Any Audiophiles Out There,

and anyone else that likes the comeback of vinyl records,

this floating record deck could be the thing for you,

the device, the creator’s claim, is not just about the look, but also the ability to “maintain the incredibly precise turning of the platter with sensor regulating software. Air is the smoothest medium with least amount of friction, which further elevates this project into a truly unique listening experience.”

all you have to do is “pick a favourite record; turn the turntable on; move the tone arm into position; and lower the cueing lever; then let the smart-record player do the rest.” now the good news, the funding on Kickstarter has already reached it’s goal, so hopefully the MAG-LEV Audio Levitating Turntable will soon be in the shops for you, and no I am not on commission, would I like one? well here in the tropics I am not so sure that the records themselves would not warp with the heat, but maybe modern records do not suffer from that malaise, but in any event I think we will stick to the digital record collection that we already have.
