We Both Went Shopping,

as it was market day,

 we parked behind TukCom,

which had motorcycles double parked by the side of it,

I crossed a surprisingly quiet Pattaya Tai,

a view of TukCom we do not normally see from the far side of the road,

I turned left into Soi Bukaow,

and made my way past the rear of the food stalls on the left,

opposite the market itself, the wind making the sun/rain awnings look like sails on a ship,

I passed a couple of food stalls,

this is the secondhand goods hall,

where there are clothes, shoes and many other items for sale,

but now into the market proper,

 strawberries,

yummy! I am sure Diana will buy some to nibble on for this evening,

 I continued through the market,

 passing through,

 the food stalls,

and then items for personal use,

 reading glasses by score,

a quick look at the aquatic stall,

 on to hair grips,

 toys,

 and very colourful souvenirs,

on to the plant and livestock section,

mice and hamsters,

and a couple of hedgehogs which seem popular out here,

 on to the plant stall,

at the back of the stall,

 so many colours,

waterlilies,

I wonder if one would grow in the kittens pool? now there's a thought,

a quick look at the the aquatic shop,

and I was on my way back passing the motorcycle repair shop on the corner,

a work in progress I guess,

the entrance to the market opposite Friendship,

the car park in Friendship was packed, which was why we parked behind TukCom and walked,

the motorcycle was becoming a bit sluggish to start,

so a new battery was fitted, 600 baht and 10 minuets later and I was on my way home, Diana had stayed in town to meet up with Riza,

later in the afternoon we made our way to the weekend night market in Thepprasit Road,

there were even more mobile stalls here than last week,

 looking towards Jomtien,

 cloudy skies,

 the same looking inland,

a fruit seller doing his rounds,

opposite the bar this evening a couple of clothes stalls,

 and a mobile food seller,

 no more construction this week,

the pet section with a few customers,

we did not need any food for the kittens this week,

I made my way to the petting section, where you can feed the pig,

 and goats,

who were patiently waiting to be feed,

 there were different colour squirrels,

for sale,

 sunset over the market,

I made my way past the steelworks to the bar,

when this beauty stopped beside us, a BMW R900S, first sold way back from it's introduction in 1973, and still has writers drooling about it today, this report from June 2016, back in the day there was a motorcycle shop in Anerly where a friend of mine worked, Chris now in Brighton, well in any event the owner decide to loan me one for the day, and what a day that was, but that's another story,

tonight we were joined by Brian, we chatted the early evening away, after saying our farewells we were off home,

a little difficult to see but when we arrive one, two or all of the kittens climb up the mosquito screens to say hello,

tonight, baked salmon for our evening meal,

 'Cheers!', followed by strawberries,

and a couple of advent calendar chocolates, we had forgotten to eat them for a couple of days, not long now!

to round off the evening Valkyrie, we had watched parts of it before, but decided to buy the Blu-ray version of it to watch in full, it was well worth the purchase, for the full true story of the man Claus von Stauffenberg and family behind the failed plot as told by his son grab a coffee and have a look here, as an aside the right to use key locations in Germany was nearly banned for the film, the cult known as the Church of Scientology, of which Tom Cruise is a high profile member is illegal in Germany, the fact that he was to star in the film outraged the federal government which initially threatened that it would refuse the right to film at some of the key surviving locations in Berlin, but then relented, and with that we were off to bed.
