This Is Going To Be A Difficult Concept,

to grasp,

 imagine walking inside a drawing,

 but how?

well take an inflatable vinyl balloon that measures 10 x 4 x 7 meters, give Oscar Oiwa and his five assistants, 120 marker pens,

and in 2 weeks time, you have a 360-degree black and white drawing that fills the space of the vinyl balloon,

what an amazing concept,

looking at the video it must be so strange to walk into this artwork, “I’ve always enjoyed drawing, which I consider the most basic way of expressing myself visually,” said Oiwa in a press release regarding the large-scale work. “A pencil and a blank sheet— there is no simpler medium than that.” the exhibition is presented at JAPAN HOUSE São Paulo, a venue that showcases traditional Japanese culture through a modern lens, Drawing the Ephemeral runs through June 3, 2018, so if you are in Brazil and anywhere near São Paulo it is the place to drop in to see.
